Sean B. and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team -
Highly talented Country
musician, Jim Wise, and his latest release "Nashville Tracks" is an album
recorded in the traditional country/rock style and is loaded with a
substantial 17 tracks. The song, "Tearing Me Apart," is a slow country tune in
which Wise pours out his heart into the microphone as the piano and acoustic
guitar interplay with his heartfelt lyrics. "You Loved The Hell Out Of Me" is
a fun loving honky-tonk piece, with just a hint of bluegrass due to the
addition of a fiddle, in which Wise reminisces about an interesting past
relationship. Wise also rocks out on the song, "Good Girls Go To Heaven," in a
jubilant and louder country rock song that reminds one of a combination of ZZ
Top and Lyle Lovett. "Nashville Tracks" is an album that is well produced and
has dynamic balance. It is a great mix of straight up classic country music
songs. If you are a fan of Alan Jackson or Garth Brooks you should check out
Jim Wise and his outstanding collection of songs on "Nashville Tracks."
Carol Dow - "Loved That Was You!"
Michele Celli - "This album is packed with top quality songs and first rate production. There are no "fillers" here, but instead a great value where each song can stand on its own as a top single. When Jim rocks out, you can feel the power and strength in his voice. When he slows down the pace, you can feel the emotion and sincere feelings in his delivery. Garth, Alan, Waylon, and now Jim really can deliver on quality. My favorites are What She's Got (reminds me of a country "Top Gun"), That Was You (a nice and smooth relationship reality check) and She Wants To Drive My Truck (a fun guy/gal/truck/line dance piece)."
Scott G. - "The songs of Jim Wise are absolutely excellent in every way! Material, delivery, and recording are all superb. Very impressive!"
Lleana - "It sounds really good! I especially liked You and Me and the Night and I thought Coming to a Honky Tonk Near You was great! What a great live song!"
Kathy - "Can I just tell you that I absolutely love the lyrics, “Lays her hat on the gun rack…Riding high…raring to go!” She Wants To Drive My Truck is very catchy indeed. It had me foot tapping and finger snapping…and sounds like a definite hit to me!"
